Write Into Action has received multiple tips regarding alleged corruption and mismanagement at Northland Community and Technical College in East Grand Forks.

The corruption is reportedly being investigated by the State.

Write Into Action’s independent investigation has yielded examples of fraud.

According to sources:

Linnea Schluessler, director, Academic Success Center, NCTC, is coordinating with administration to draw a paycheck while rarely being available for her job. Schluessler’s excessive absence has resulted in services not being provided to students due them.

Schluessler is suspected by colleagues to be running a yoga business in Crookston simultaneous to receiving a paycheck from NCTC.

Schluessler allegedly passes most of her duties off to Gloria Serna, Learning Services Tutor, NCTC. Schluessler reportedly gave Serna her email password and username and instructed her to answer the ones “that look important”.

Schluessler reportedly also has three work study students doing work she is paid to do.

The dereliction is reportedly known to NCTC administration. One NCTC staff member monitored Schluessler’s in-house mailbox and observed nearly a month passed without the mail being checked.

Write Into Action has other information that will be released at a later time.

Write Into Action’s investigation of NCTC is part of an ongoing journalistic probe into organized crime involving Lt. Rodney Hajicek, East Grand Forks Police Department, drug trafficking by public officials, a child rape-porn cover-up, and sex crimes by police officers.
